Juicy College Football TV Schedule Today

College football fans can ignore the icy weather today, as long as they still have electricity and the cable is working, anyway.

The big early game (Noon ET, ABC) is the in-state “Bedlam” rivalry between Oklahoma (18) and Oklahoma State (6). At stake is a shot at a BCS bowl appearance for Oklahoma State if they can go on to win the Big 12 after a victory today. Their in-state rival, however, would like to have something to say about that. The game is being played at Oklahoma State.

Next up on the list of must-see games is the SEC Championship featuring Missouri (5) and Auburn (3) (4 p.m. ET, CBS). Auburn, of course, is coming off of their miraculous last-second victory over Alabama. Missouri, after a lackluster debut in the SEC last year, has coming roaring into the spotlight this year and would love nothing more than to put the exclamation point on a year proving that they belong. With a shot at the BCS championship at stake (the winner will still need some help), emotions will be high at the Georgia Dome.

For those finding themselves with a few minutes between the previous two games, Baylor (9) and Texas (23) meet at 3:30 ET on FOX. Baylor’s bowl prospects were elevated with Bowling Green’s victory over Northern Illinois last night. Speculation about Mack Brown’s coaching future continues for Texas. The game is being played at Baylor.

The 8 p.m. (ET) games promise to keep the remotes warm. Ohio State (2) faces Michigan State (10) on FOX for the Big 10 Championship and bowl berths at stake. Ohio State can secure a spot in the BCS title game with a win. A victory for Michigan State means a trip to the Rose Bowl and probably gives the SEC a spot in the title game. The game will be played in Indianapolis.

The other 8 p.m. (ET) game is Duke (20) vs. Florida State (1) in the ACC Championship game on ABC. The surprising Blue Devils offer football fans a chance to cheer for a valiant underdog. Florida State seeks to cement a place in the national championship game, as well as their quarterback’s grasp on the Heisman. The game is being played in Charlotte.
