Occasionally I’ll stumble across an Android game that supports a good cause, carries a message, or serves a purpose aside from simply playing a game. HopeLab is a developer out to make a difference by improving people’s health and well-being through technology. They partnered up with Cigna for their first Android release, Re-Mission 2: Nanobot’s Revenge. It’s a game aimed to help kids with cancer feel a little bit better by letting them blast those nasty cancer cells away, and it’s quite a bit of fun to boot.

Smartwatches are all the rage this year, and Samsung is set to unveil their entry into the Smartwatch market in a few days on September 4th. A few days ago images appeared online of the Galaxy Gear, and the internet lost its mind when they saw how big and bulky the Galaxy Gear was. Well, have no fear as it’s been confirmed that the watch folks will see in two days is going to look quite a bit different… we think.

Divorces are a common occurrence these days, and it’s always newsworthy when a high-powered couple splits up. This seems to be the case with Google co-founder Sergey Brin and his wife Anne Wojcicki, a Silicon Valley power couple that has donated around $223 million last year.


Netflix Strikes a Deal with The Weinstein Company for First Run Films

Netflix has made a splash this year with new original programming like Orange is the New Black, and Hemlock Grove while also managing to review a fan favorite with Arrested Development. They year may be winding down, but Netflix isn’t done as they’ve just announced a deal with The Weinstein Company to make Netflix the first top for first-run flicks starting in 2016.
